About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Program Manager to join our team at Nielseniq. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for the administration of our Canadian benefit programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Administer Canadian retirement plans, including DC pension/RRSP/TFSA plan management and administration, and coordinate DB pension activities with service providers.
  2. Support annual benefit plan renewal, biennial healthcare/dental plan re-enrolment, new member enrolments, member terminations, member coverage changes, and payment of monthly service provider invoices.
  3. Communicate leave of absence process with employees and their managers, track start date and end date of leaves, and update leave status in Workday and inform Payroll of impact to employees' pay.
  4. Prepare communication materials, including periodic newsletters, and post Canada benefits information and benefit booklets on the company intranet site.
Requirements
  1. Post-secondary degree
  2. 4+ years of experience in supporting the administration of benefit plans, including retirement plan administration, annual and other periodic audits, partnering with vendors, leave of absence processes, and communications.
  3. Strong Excel and analytical skills and a proven track record of using Excel to analyze and compare datasets and identify discrepancies.
  4. Understanding of Employment Standards Administration, pension legislation, compliance, and other related regulations.
  5. Superior attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  6. Proven ability to take initiative, resolve problems, and drive execution of deliverables.
  7. Ability to prioritize work and adjust priorities as needed, with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  8. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  9. Ability to research independently and present findings in order to resolve questions and issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
  2. Experience with Workday, SAP, or other HRIS systems.
  3. Collaborative team player with the ability to pivot and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Skilled at MS Excel, including pivot tables and logic formulas.
