Bakery Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Supervisor to join our team at HWM Stores (2016) Ltd. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Production: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Scheduling: Schedule staff and draw up production schedules.
- Inventory Control: Organize and maintain inventory.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Staff Management: Hire and train staff.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have a client-focused approach.
