About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Economist to join our team at the Bank of Canada. As an Economist, you will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting economic data to inform monetary policy decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on economic trends and developments
  • Develop and maintain economic models to forecast economic activity
  • Provide economic analysis and recommendations to inform policy decisions
  • Collaborate with other economists and stakeholders to develop and implement economic policies
  • Communicate complex economic concepts and findings to non-technical audiences
Requirements
  • PhD in Economics or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with economic modeling and forecasting
