We are seeking a highly skilled economist to contribute to our team's research and analysis of global economic activity.
As an economist in the Overseas Economies Division, you will:
- Deliver briefings to senior management and the Governing Council on your subject-matter expertise
- Develop and improve monitoring tools and models, as well as conduct longer-term analyses
- Collaborate with a diverse group of experts to conduct macroeconomic analysis and advance the Department's research agenda
Key responsibilities include:

Requirements:
Requirements- Master's degree in economics or finance with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in macroeconomics or econometrics
- PhD in economics or finance
- Experience with current economic analysis and forecasting of emerging markets, the US, or other advanced economies
- Knowledge of international macroeconomic data sets
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a defined-benefit pension plan, benefits, and high flexibility for work-life balance. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers may be eligible for higher performance pay.
Candidates whose experience and/or educational background may not be at the Senior Economist level will be considered for a position within the accelerated progression stream program (P3-P4).
This program allows employees to acquire the skills they need over a number of years to reach the working level of a Senior Economist at the job grade 17.
