Strategic Leader for Staff Support and Relations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as Assistant Superintendent of Staff Support and Development. This is a key role that will provide strategic leadership and direction to the Staff Support and Relations Department, fostering a culture of positivity, support, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Staff Support and Relations Department
- Develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that promote staff well-being, engagement, and satisfaction
- Lead the division's efforts in equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Champion truth and reconciliation initiatives within the division
- Oversee staff relations, including conflict resolution and employee support services
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in human resources and staff support
- Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, staff, and other stakeholders to identify and address staff needs and concerns
- Provide mentorship and professional growth opportunities for personnel in the department
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of staff support programs and initiatives
- Represent the division in negotiations and labour relations matters
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Must have experience as a school principal
- Extensive experience in human resources, staff support, or a related area, preferably within the education sector
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive and supportive work environment
- Experience in conflict resolution and employee relations
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships
