About the Role

Flynn Canada Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Equipment and Machinery Expertise: Conduct studies of new equipment and machinery, providing recommendations for the most efficient options.
  • Plant Layout Design: Plan and design plant layouts and facilities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Workstation and Equipment Layout: Assist with the layout and implementation of shop workstations and equipment to optimize workflow.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and buyback periods for new purchases, aiming to maximize return on investment.
  • Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
  • Liaison and Management: Liaise and manage 3rd party consultants and contractors for PO's, permits, and professional services.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of production machinery, equipment, and systems; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in automation and AI implementation; strong project management skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; excellent communication and presentation skills.
