Position Summary:

The Process Engineering Manager plays a critical role in delivering ongoing engineering support and leadership across various manufacturing processes involved in PCB design and production. This position is essential for ensuring the seamless integration of processes and equipment, establishing optimal operating conditions, and conducting thorough monitoring of process parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Director of Process Engineering.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges while upholding quality standards through engineering practices, data collection, and statistical analysis.
  • Develop, document, and standardize production processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure consistency.
  • Analyze test data to establish appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
  • Engage with customers, fellow engineers, technicians, and production staff to provide engineering support aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Prepare modifications and updates to processes and documentation to ensure production readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to process, safety, and quality.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and process control, with a hands-on, analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • In-depth knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, and Design of Experiments.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with programming and Minitab is advantageous.
  • Experience with CAD software and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) practices.
  • Strong mathematical skills and extensive experience in statistical analysis.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities to deliver high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective cross-functional communication skills, fostering collaboration across Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
  • Ability to respond swiftly to daily challenges with timely solutions, demonstrating sound decision-making under pressure.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Qualifications:

Education: A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of engineering experience is preferred.
