Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Person Centred Supports Coordinator. This role will play a critical part in implementing our Strategic Plan and Community Plan to prevent and end homelessness in Winnipeg.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the revision and research of our current strategy to address homelessness
  • Compile and analyze data from surveys, interviews, and sharing circles to inform our approach
  • Facilitate and participate in internal and external committee meetings to ensure collaboration and coordination
  • Engage with community partners and outreach teams to build relationships and support
  • Support organizations with extreme weather and emergency response related issues
  • Assist managers with supporting local agencies and government during building closures
  • Complete Extreme Weather Program claims and provide support to agencies
  • Monitor Extreme Weather alerts and provide updates to the team
  • Develop reports, terms of reference, and briefs to inform our decision-making
  • Conduct research and create a consultation plan for a Lived/Living Experience council
  • Assist with the planning, promotion, and implementation of events such as the Gizhe Waa Ti-Sii Win Service Delivery Expo
  • Provide updates to the Manager, Person Centred Supports on community issues, concerns, and opportunities
Requirements
  • University degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as social sciences, human ecology, or urban planning
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in program management
  • Experience working in the non-profit sector and with Indigenous organizations
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of community issues related to homelessness and colonization
  • Ability to work in a Windows environment and intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office
  • Broad understanding of traditional and alternative engagement methods
  • Knowledge/training in the Collective Impact approach is an asset
