Overview of the Role at Mighty Learners Daycare & OSC

As an Early Childhood Development Specialist with Mighty Learners Daycare & OSC, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of young children.

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be able to develop and implement engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes leading activities, guiding children in daily routines, observing and reporting on child progress, and establishing collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children

Credentials:

  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1)
