The successful candidate will have a valid 310T Truck & Coach license or a registered training agreement, as well as a sound working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps/motors, and air brake systems. Strong interpersonal skills with a safety-first approach are essential for this position.
The salary for this position is $37.25 per hour. The location of this job is Kitchener, Ontario. You can expect to work a mix of day shifts and rotational weekends.

A Career as a Fleet Mechanic Specialist
In this role, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles. This includes performing inspections, diagnosis, and repair through preventative and scheduled maintenance. You will also use leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns and order required parts while maintaining a parts inventory.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the success of our organization by ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of ready-mix trucks through preventative and scheduled maintenance.
- Use leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns and diagnose issues.
- Order required parts and maintain a parts inventory to ensure efficient maintenance.
- Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on equipment availability and status.
- Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment.
