Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. As a key member of our Central Island Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program, you will provide expert care and support to children and adolescents in our community.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and liaison services for admitted children and youth at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital
  • Develop and implement new components to the program, including telepsychiatry outreach, consultation to the Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service, and mental health day programs
  • Collaborate with local Child and Youth Mental Health Teams and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in research and education opportunities, including training of medical students and residents

Requirements
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License: Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA): Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC): Eligible
