About This Role

Black & McDonald, a family-owned business with a strong reputation in the Ottawa Region's Utility Division, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to our Project Managers on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers in ensuring performance standards align with company policy and contract specifications are met
  • Assist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, monitoring progress against established timelines
  • Contribute to budget analysis, cost, and margin projections, estimate project changes, and impacts
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
  • Coordinate trade and subcontractor activities
  • Foster customer and supplier/vendor relationships
  • Coordinate shop drawings, RFI's, and SI's
  • Maintain document control
  • Purchase supplies and materials as required to complete projects

Education Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (considered an asset)
Work Experience Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in the construction industry as a Project Coordinator
Salary and Benefits
