The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is a leading airport in Canada, committed to delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence. As an Airport Baggage Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of baggage handling systems at our airport.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to manage our baggage operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the team, including supervising staff, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee 'Day-of' baggage operations, ensuring seamless delivery of baggage services to passengers
  • Champion health and safety, reporting incidents and implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Maintain situational awareness of people, planes, and baggage flows, ensuring integrity of baggage delivery at all times
  • Lead and mentor teams to ensure safe and secure 'Day-of' operations, resolving complex situations and implementing IRROP procedures as required
  • Engage and lead cross-functional teams to achieve results, ensuring sufficient deployment during regular daily operations and IRROPS situations
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma, or a combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of people management or leadership experience, building impactful teams
  • 3 years' experience in an airport environment or similar, serving a large and complex customer base
  • Valid Ontario G Driver's License
  • Airside Drivers license within 60 days from start date
  • Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level
