About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Hillside Gardens Ltd. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring the efficient and safe production of crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Farm Safety and Bio-Security Procedures
  • Maintain Financial and Production Records
  • Negotiate with Clients for Provision of Services
  • Coordinate and Supervise the Work of General Farm Workers and Harvesting Labourers
  • Ensure Farm Safety and Bio-Security Procedures are Followed
  • Supervise and Oversee Growing and Other Crop-Related Operations
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs
  • Hire and Train Staff
  • Operate and Maintain Farm Machinery and Equipment
  • Perform General Farm Duties
  • Make Emergency Repairs to Equipment
  • Maintain Inventory of Supplies
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment to Detect Faults and Malfunctions
Requirements
  • 5-10 Years of Experience in Agricultural Crop Service
  • Experience in Farm Operations and Management
  • Strong Leadership and Supervisory Skills
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
  • Physical Demands of the Job
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure
  • Attention to Detail
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, and Walking
  • Large Workload and Overtime Required
