Aon Hewitt is seeking an experienced Pension Administration Operations Lead to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our Pension Administration group, you will play a critical role in leading operational performance for assigned clients and ensuring that all work in process is completed in a timely manner and to a quality level consistent with the plan sponsor and member expectations.

Job Summary:

The Pension Administration Operations Lead will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and project management, as well as capacity and utilization management, task delegation, and tracking the status of work in progress. This position also acts as a resource to clients, third-party administrators, and internal shared services that impact day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage strategy and planning for pension administration operations analysis resources, identifying and implementing operational improvements.
  • Coordinate client operations, facilitating weekly operational meetings and consulting with clients.
  • Verify and review benefit calculations and annual statements specific to pension plans according to standards and procedures.
  • Participate in the training of team members and provide support to administrators and/or members for more complex cases.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in defined benefit pension plan administration.
  • Experience in operations and coaching others, optimizing their work.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • French/English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and/or internationally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Accounting Science, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience in a relevant industry.
