About the Role:

Cineplex Entertainment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Back of House Supervisor to join our team at The Rec Room Roundhouse location in Toronto, Ontario. As a key member of our kitchen leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring healthy and safe work practices, and maintaining high-quality menu options and service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu options and promotions.
  • Manage staff performance, provide coaching and feedback, and develop training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including inventory, labor, and supplies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of kitchen metrics and performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Business Management, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Smart Serve certification an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
