We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team. This key role plays a critical part in planning and optimizing production schedules and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing facility requirements for raw materials, equipment, and labor to support production goals. They will develop daily production plans, taking into account customer demand, available processing capacity, and product sequencing requirements.

This position requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and coordination with multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing, inventory, and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Production Planning: Assess facility requirements, develop feasible daily production plans, and create work orders to initiate and track production activities.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels for fresh, dry ingredients, and packaging to minimize waste and optimize usage.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze production gaps, utilize PSL reports, and provide explanations and recommended actions to relevant departments.
  • Communication: Lead weekly meetings to communicate updates in production schedules, resources, or processes to the team.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in management, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in production planning in food processing, ideally in poultry or meat.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP software (Business Central or similar).
