Ocean Freight Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team at Ontrek Logistics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials across the globe, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Compile and prioritize orders and instructions from customers
- Develop and implement plans to optimize logistics operations
- Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including freight forwarding and supply chain management
- Track and complete work orders, ensuring smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments, including warehouse and production units
- Monitor personnel workloads and locations, and resolve work problems as needed
- Provide customer service and support, including responding to urgent calls and resolving issues with work orders
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in logistics or a related field
- College/CEGEP education
- Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices, as well as highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
