Job Title: Ocean Freight Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team at Ontrek Logistics Inc.

Job Summary:

The Ocean Freight Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods by sea, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of cargo to our customers. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and analyze shipping data to optimize freight routes and schedules
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve freight efficiency and reduce costs
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo operations
  • Monitor and report on freight movements, including delays and issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve freight-related issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulations, and implement changes as necessary
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in freight logistics or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
