Job Title: Ocean Freight Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team at Ontrek Logistics Inc.

Job Summary:

The Ocean Freight Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods by sea, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of cargo to our customers. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and analyze shipping orders and instructions from customers
  • Develop and implement plans to prioritize and optimize freight movements
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production units to ensure smooth operation of logistics
  • Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues that may arise
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in freight logistics or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in logistics or a related field preferred
