Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Shell Niagara Falls. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to improve staff skills and productivity.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and address any discrepancies.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service, including responding to customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase customer loyalty and retention.
  • Merchandising and Visual Display
    • Oversee the visual merchandising of the store, including creating attractive displays and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
    • Work with the buying team to select and purchase merchandise that meets the needs of our customers.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage the store's budget, including forecasting sales and controlling expenses.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Store Operations
    • Ensure that the store is operating efficiently and effectively, including managing labor costs and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Develop and implement processes to improve store efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail management role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 25 pounds. The store is open 7 days a week, and the successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
