Midtown Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Building Operator, Midtown will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment, building systems, lighting, and electrical/mechanical systems.

You will work as part of a 3-person team and participate in an on-call rotation (once every 3 weeks).

The shift will start between 8am-9am and end between 5-6pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to tenant service calls and complaints promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform tasks in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
  • Assist other building operations staff with preventative maintenance, electrical maintenance, etc.
  • Conduct water treatment testing and analysis, adjust chemical feed to maintain proper levels.
  • Act as relief for similar positions when needed.
  • Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in mechanical/electrical areas.

Requirements:

  • 3 years' experience in building repairs/operations.
  • BES certificate or trade school completion is an asset.
  • Basic interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service excellence.
  • Verbal and written communication skills; must comprehend issues and resolve them, complete logs.
  • Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems.
  • Ability to perform job requirements with minimal supervision, meet deadlines.

Compensation Package:

Estimated salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
