Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Mariposa Gardens Community & Retirement Living. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Assess and document resident status, identifying changes and reporting to the Registered Nurse as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
  • Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident well-being, addressing concerns and providing support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
  • Current First Aid with CPR.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check. Applicable to Ontario applicants.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check. Applicable to British Columbia applicants.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Long Term Care Experience.
