Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team at Mariposa Gardens Community & Retirement Living. As a LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Ensure the safekeeping and control of medications and narcotics.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment for residents.
  • Optimize resident potential to achieve maximum functional ability.
  • Collaborate with the RN and other team members to provide effective care.
  • Liaise with medical team members to ensure effective clinical care.
  • Participate in in-service programs and conferences to enhance nursing practice.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification.
  • Current First Aid with CPR.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (for Ontario applicants) or Criminal Records Check (for BC applicants).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Long Term Care Experience.
