We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Mariposa Gardens Community & Retirement Living. As a LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident care plans.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and provide basic life support as needed.
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, documenting findings and developing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in gerontological nursing.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
- Successful completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
- Current First Aid with CPR certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
