Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Hospital Admissions Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the admissions team, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and provide information to patients and families.
  • Operate the switchboard, manage phone calls, and relay messages to staff members.
  • Process patient information, including demographic data and medical history.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient charts and medical files.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in admissions or reception.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
