Job Title: Hospital Admissions Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hospital Admissions Clerk to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Process patient admissions, including verifying demographic information and insurance coverage
  • Manage patient records, including updating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date information
  • Operate a switchboard or telephone system to direct calls and messages
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and mail distribution
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
