Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in Red Deer. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for monitoring the production process in real-time and working with operations to ensure that our products meet customer requirements.

  • Daily Process Audits: Perform daily audits of production processes to ensure conformance with documented work procedures.
  • QC Results Analysis: Monitor QC results specific to manufacturing lines each day and communicate significant issues to QA and Operations.
  • Process Upsets: Review product manufactured during upset conditions and provide assistance bracketing product during these occasions.
  • HOLD Product Evaluations: Evaluate or arrange for timely inspections/evaluations of product on HOLD for quality reasons.
  • Admin Cell Meetings: Attend Admin Cell meetings and provide feedback/updates on significant product quality or inspection issues.
  • Product Trials: Participate in product trials as required and work with the operations team to collect product samples and perform necessary inspections.
  • Customer Claims: Inspect product returned to the facility associated with customer claims and complete reports for QA.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Metallurgical/Materials or Mechanical disciplines preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Operations within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of metals-based manufacturing processes, including chemical and mechanical testing procedures.
  • ISO Standards: Understanding of ISO quality standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Teamwork: Experience working with interdepartmental teams at all levels of management to accomplish goals.
