Job Summary:

We are seeking an Economic Infrastructure Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work on various infrastructure projects, including report writing, evaluation of alternatives, impact assessment, and development of project consultation programs.

About the Role:

  • You will be involved in a range of infrastructure projects, including municipal and transit projects, and environmental impact statements.
  • You will assist with proposal preparation and client liaison.
  • You will coordinate subconsultants and lead/co-ordinate EA processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Post-secondary education in planning, environmental science, biology, geography, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Environmental Assessments, including Municipal Class EA and Transit Project Assessment Process.
  • Experience in the Ontario market, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Membership (candidate status or full membership) in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and Canadian Institute of Planners is preferred.
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting and approvals process.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal environmental policies, legislation, and applicable law.
