Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at NAV CANADA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing network and security infrastructure projects of varying complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies, estimate costs, time, and personnel requirements, and conduct cost-benefit analyses.
  • Develop specifications, standards, evaluation criteria, and participate in the evaluation of complex solutions.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis, contribute to detailed plans, system architecture, designs, and specifications for the provision and implementation of infrastructure systems and technology solutions.
  • Develop, configure, enhance, update, test, and implement system and subsystem infrastructure components and technology solutions.
  • Provide technical documentation of infrastructure system and subsystem architecture and designs, specifications, processes, test cases, and scripts.
Requirements
  • Degree from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer, electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science, or information systems, and at least 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience designing, testing, and implementing network and security infrastructure projects of varying complexity.
  • Thorough knowledge of infrastructure systems and technologies in one or more infrastructure domains (Network and Firewall).
  • Knowledge of modern system life cycle processes, practices, and techniques, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
