About the Role:

GardaWorld is seeking a skilled Human Resources Advisor to join our team. As an HR Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Functions: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and records, generate employment-related documents, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through various HR activities and events, and assist with social events to promote employee engagement and well-being.
  • Project Support: Participate in departmental projects and process improvement initiatives, and provide support as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Employee Inquiries: Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related matters, including labor relations, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Labour Relations: Handle labor relations matters, including harassment investigations, performance management, and grievance and arbitration records, in accordance with our Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee matters and company information.
  • Collective Bargaining Agreement: Assist with the interpretation, application, and implementation of our Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Regional Support: Provide support for the Ontario and Western Canada Region, including assistance with HR-related matters and projects.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as required to support the HR department and the company.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Travel: Ability to travel to different branches across Ontario and Western Canada, as required.
