Senior Business Consultant

We are seeking a senior business consultant to join our Toronto team and work on a capital markets project. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams on a range of initiatives varying in risk, size, and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Product Owner to create, update, and refine user stories
  2. Gather and clarify business requirements with business stakeholders
  3. Use monitoring tools to manage applications and respond to business/technical alerts
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in Capital Markets Regulatory Reporting
  5. Participate in Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Scrum, Planning, Review, etc.
  6. Elevate trade reporting issues to Senior Management and Compliance as necessary
  7. Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business partners
  8. Support the interpretation of internal and external policies and regulatory requirements relevant to the analytics
  9. Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Minimum Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst delivering business requirements for G20 regulations, including trade reporting
  2. Strong knowledge and experience within regulatory reporting and domain within repos (repurchase agreement)
  3. In-depth understanding of G20 regulations, including trade reporting
  4. Global trade repository (DTCC, UnaVista) specifications are a must
  5. Creative and result-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Excellent documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
