Job Title: Full Time Intervenor to Support People who are Deafblind-Overnights

Be someone's eyes and ears. Bring the world to a person who is deafblind.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Intervenor to join our team in Paris, ON. As a member of our team, you will support communication and day-to-day living for individuals who are living with dual sensory impairment, enabling them to live independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the individual in their home and community environments.
  • Use communication techniques to relay information.
  • Empower the individual to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living.
  • Provide personal care as required.
  • Assist with developing and supporting consumer goals and objectives.
  • Assist with program development.
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
  • Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
