Maintenance Supervisor Job Overview

Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for managing maintenance operations within our facility. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and prioritizing work orders to ensure timely completion
- Managing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
- Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory guidelines, such as OHSA and GMPs/HACCP
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating with contractors when necessary
- Maintaining effective communication across departments
- Attending production meetings to stay informed about production plans and timelines
- Ensuring food safety compliance and motivating team members to achieve goals
- Leading efforts to improve production methods and equipment performance
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Millwright or Electrician license to practice in Ontario or an Engineering degree/diploma
- 5-7 years of direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Certification as a class B refrigeration operator would be an asset
- Experience in food manufacturing is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead others and make technical decisions
- Self-motivation and adaptability in a dynamic environment
