Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct trauma-informed healthcare services to clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to address client needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, clients, and families to coordinate care and achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Document patient information, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports as required.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Two years' recent experience providing trauma-informed acute or community health nursing care services to patients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
- Successful completion of Occupational First Aid II (OFA II) or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of community health nursing theory, including mental health and addictions, communicable diseases, and primary care.
- Knowledge of BCCNP's Standards for Nursing Practice and the BC Mental Health Act.
