Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse will practice in a variety of clinical settings, responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care. This role works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.
This is a relief full-time opportunity until January 01, 2025 or the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights, rotating from 07:15 to 19:15, 19:15 to 07:15.
About this Location/UnitThe South Okanagan General Hospital (SOGH) is an active, rural hospital serving communities of Oliver, Osoyoos, and surrounding areas. The hospital sees an average of 16,000 emergency visits per year and has 7 Emergency beds, staffed 24 hours a day with 2 RNs on day shift and a 10-hour triage nurse, night shift is 2 RNs.
The acute care ward is 18 beds and is staffed with 2 RNs and 2 LPNs on days and 2 RNs and 1 LPN on nights. The occupancy at SOG is regularly 100%. The site was selected to be a pilot site for the implementation of the electronic Meditech Charting System, Advanced Clinicals.
