Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Hardy Terrace Long-Term Care Home. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help residents with meal preparation, serving, and feeding, as well as assisting with mobility and transfers.
  • Support with Medication Management: Assist residents with taking their medications, as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
  • Engage in Activities and Socialization: Participate in activities and social events with residents, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the physical environment is safe and secure for residents, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
