Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Hardy Terrace Long-Term Care Home. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring residents. Additionally, you will be required to maintain a safe and clean environment, including making beds, changing linens, and cleaning resident rooms.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring residents
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including making beds, changing linens, and cleaning resident rooms
  • Assist with recreational activities, such as accompanying residents on outdoor activities and supervising exercise routines
  • Administer medications and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Tuberculosis test
