About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Royal Canadian Lodge Banff (InnVest Hotels LP). As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Estimate food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure optimal kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and cooking techniques to enhance the dining experience.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events and banquets.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
