About the Job

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Construction Coordinator to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to work on long-term contract with a reputable organization and contribute to the success of our Paint department.

Key Responsibilities

">

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies and overall facilitation with related plant production groups. You will support the Paint department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions, and provide necessary support to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will be responsible for:

  • ">
  • Managing area project planning, implementation and follow-up to achieve KPIs and critical milestones">
  • Creating project schedules">
  • Supporting new model introduction (equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.)">
  • Creating scope of work and defining roles/responsibilities within the project">
  • Reviewing and/or designing mechanical, structural, electrical drawings">
  • Overseeing several planned construction and commissioning work during non-production time and ensuring equipment ready for production start">
  • Reviewing site safety management plans for construction jobs">
  • Leading process development through process design, machine specification, equipment procurement and installation, safety risk assessments and process trials based on project milestones and events">
  • Executing onsite equipment modifications during non-production time (weekends, holidays, etc.)">
  • Participating in team kaizen and organizational improvement activities">
  • Interacting with inside and outside groups to divide responsibilities and resolve conflicts">
  • Reporting to a Project Manager in the team">

    • This is a permanent position with a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • Bachelor of Technology, Automotive & Vehicle Engineering Technology or equivalent">
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and AutoCAD (Electrical and Mechanical)">
  • Experience reviewing mechanical and structural drawings">
  • Experience leading problem solving">
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Inventor">
  • Ability to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown to support equipment modifications and installation projects">
  • A strong understanding of Mechatronics, PLCs, Sensors and Actuators along with Ladder Logic Programming">
