Covenant House Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Philanthropy Officer, Special Events to join our team. As a key member of our Philanthropy department, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with individuals and organizations to support our special events, including our signature Sleep Outs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for recruiting and engaging participants, donors, and sponsors for our special events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, community leaders, and individual donors.
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to identify and pursue new funding opportunities and partnerships.
- Manage and execute event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and marketing.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship plan to ensure timely and effective recognition of donors and sponsors.
- Provide exceptional customer service to participants, donors, and sponsors, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
- 2+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, and special event planning.
- Strong relationships-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge database and Luminate software is an asset.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
