The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Philanthropy Officer, Special Events to join our team. This role will be responsible for building and overseeing a portfolio of individuals and organizations who participate in special events, including our signature Sleep Outs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, and special event management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support special events, including the Sleep Out.
  • Manage and execute special events, including logistics, marketing, and volunteer coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to recruit individuals and organizations to participate in special events.
  • Develop and maintain a CRM database to track relationships and fundraising efforts.
  • Provide administrative support for special events, including event planning, coordination, and execution.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, and special event management.
  • College, University, or professional certificate degree is an asset.
  • Raiser's Edge database and Luminate software experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
