Your Opportunity at Secure Energy

We're seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive and support the growth of our Production Chemicals business. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities for customer-driven solutions that are cost-effective. You'll help define key business opportunities for our Production Chemicals business line and support our operations in the Stettler, Hanna, and Consort Alberta Area.

The Team

Our Production Chemicals business group is a team of dedicated professionals who excel in one-on-one sales engagements. We're adept in problem-solving and committed to customer satisfaction. Each member embodies a strong work ethic and a proactive approach, ensuring unparalleled service delivery and customer support.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position supporting the surrounding areas of Stettler, Hanna, and Consort Alberta. You'll work closely with our team to develop strategies for maximizing account profitability and creating, implementing, and managing account plans in conjunction with our business plan.

A Day in The Life

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing strategies for maximizing account profitability and creating, implementing, and managing account plans in conjunction with our business plan.
  • Maintaining inventory levels, ordering, and delivering products to site as required.
  • Sourcing business opportunities and continually assessing customer service levels to ensure clients receive the highest level of service.
  • Meeting with customers/potential customers to execute sales personally and develop, foster, and nurture strong client relationships through ongoing contact and follow-up.
  • Instituting programs to identify potential customers and ability to make cold sales calls.
  • Proactively determining current and future customer needs and continually learning new information and developing new strategies.
  • Providing weekly updates to sales, operations, and technical departments about customer activity, plans, and future business.
  • Using basic lab equipment to test and qualify products to be used in field programs.
  • Community relations.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A High School diploma or General Education Diploma is required; additional post-secondary education is considered an asset.
  • Experience in oilfield operations is considered an asset.
  • Previous Chemical Sales experience is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites as needed.
  • Adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to prepare technical reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.
  • Confident, highly motivated, and determined with a good business sense and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of production processes practiced in Canada is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented and demonstrated interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
