We are seeking a skilled Emergency Psychiatric Liaison Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. This is a full-time opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care to patients with psychiatric needs.

About the Role:

  • Perform intake assessments and provide crisis intervention services to patients in the Emergency Department and/or Mental Health & Substance Use Services (MH&SUS) zone.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to develop person-centered care plans and ensure effective patient flow.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing psychosocial assessments, and developing care plans.
  • Liaise with Emergency Department staff, other allied health department service providers, and community agencies to facilitate transition to aftercare.
  • Act as a patient advocate by assisting patients and their families to access appropriate community resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and research to identify patient care issues and collect data.
