Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Restaurant ICHI GO ICHI E. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts for our menu.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pastry Preparation: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts for our menu.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all pastries and desserts meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our kitchen team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Support for Diversity and Inclusion
  • Accessibility: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Recruitment: Apply accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomer Support: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition and offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Youth Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
