About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Winnipeg. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for municipal and industrial facilities, including water treatment plants, pump stations, and power generation facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing, for commercial, industrial, and public facilities
  • Complete engineering assignments, including investigations, studies, design, and specifications for permit and construction
  • Read and understand pertinent codes and standards
  • Prepare drawings, schematics, specifications, reports, proposals, and technical bid packages for tendering and construction phases
  • Assist with proposal preparation and advise on technical problems
  • Perform field inspections, condition assessments, and monitoring of construction
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Canadian University
  • Registration as a P.Eng. with a Canadian professional association
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a P.Eng. with design experience working for a consulting firm in Canada
  • Demonstrable experience designing HVAC systems is mandatory
  • Experience using ACAD is an asset
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a typical engineering office environment with no or very limited physical effort required. A work-from-home arrangement is also available. Occasional short site assignments may be required.
