Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Clerk to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving requisitions and scheduling diagnostic imaging examinations using the Radiology Information System (RIS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and processing requisitions for diagnostic imaging examinations
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
  • Registering patients and obtaining necessary information
  • Retrieving and filing digital images and films
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Administrative Assistant Program or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Keyboarding skills and proficiency in computer software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Physical ability to assist patients as required
