Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Clerk to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving requisitions and scheduling diagnostic imaging examinations, acting as a receptionist to patients, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and processing requisitions for diagnostic imaging examinations
  • Scheduling examinations and coordinating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
  • Acting as a receptionist to patients, answering questions and providing information
  • Entering and updating patient/film information and registering patients on the computer system
  • Retrieving digital images, filing, and retrieving DI films/digital images and CDs/DVDs
  • Providing digital images/films to physicians upon request and sending digital images/films and/or reports to various facilities
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical or administrative role is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
