Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Clerk to join our team at Shared Health. This role is responsible for receiving requisitions, scheduling diagnostic imaging examinations, and providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

As a Diagnostic Imaging Clerk, you will be working under the supervision of the DI Manager of Operations and will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and processing requisitions for diagnostic imaging examinations
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Acting as a receptionist to patients, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries
  • Obtaining, entering, and updating patient/film information and registering patients on the computer system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical administrative role or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Working Conditions

This is a full-time term position that may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt readily to stressful situations and have good telephone manner.
