We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Role to join our team at Prairie Mountain Health.

Job Summary

This is a rewarding opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide leadership in the care of clients and contribute to the assessment, planning, development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care related to Speech-Language Pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, prioritize, and assume responsibility for your caseload, applying Speech-Language Pathology knowledge and skills to provide optimum individualized and continuous assessment and treatment for clients assigned.
  • Collaborate with clients on the planning, implementation, and progression of the treatment plan, providing education and counseling to the client and/or family member.
  • Delegate activities and tasks to rehabilitation assistants as appropriate and in accordance with the treatment plan.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice and techniques within the scope of Speech-Language Pathology in the treatment of clients.
  • Communicate, consult, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals of the multidisciplinary team in the implementation of the treatment plan.
  • Document in a timely manner as per PMH policy and relevant professional college guidelines.
  • Attend care conferences, discharge planning, multidisciplinary, and team meetings as applicable.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited or approved university.
  • Eligible for and maintains licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the province of Manitoba.
  • Eligible for and maintains membership with the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association of Canada.
  • Current Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification within the past twelve months as per Prairie Mountain Health Policy CPR Training.
  • Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver's Licence, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health.
Salary Range

$85,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience.
